Every year, we witness ambitious partners around the world growing their successful businesses and thriving in the energy efficiency sector. From enthusiastic newcomers to well-established teams, they spread the power of energy efficiency and sustainable practices across the globe.

To celebrate and recognise their achievements, we host the annual Best.Energy Global Partner Awards. So, well done to all the nominees, and congratulations to our 2024 winners!

Partner of the Year - Best.Energy Kenya

Best.Energy Kenya receiving Partner of the Year award

Our Partner of the Year award goes to a stand-out partner that has exceeded expectations and made strides forward in implementing energy efficiency and sustainable practices in their region.

The Best.Energy Kenya team won this coveted award after an incredible year of growth and progress. CEO, Faraaz Charania, has demonstrated exemplary leadership which has been instrumental to the success of the Kenya operations.

In the past year alone, the team has secured a monumental $1m+ deal with a massive steel company, as well as making huge progress in the hospitality industry with some of the most notable brands in the region.

Best.Energy Kenya stands as a proud role model for our partner network, demonstrating just what can be achieved with a talented and passionate team. It’s been an incredible year for Best.Energy Kenya. Well done to the entire team - we’re proud of your hard work and achievements!

Energy Saving Project of the Year - IoT Energy

IoT Energy award

The Energy Saving Project of the Year award goes to a project that promotes energy efficiency and makes vast savings for customers through the power of Eniscope.

This year, IoT Energy won the award in recognition of its fantastic Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) project in Poland (unfortunately, we can’t tell you which one - but they make very good nuggets!). Taking on a large-scale multi-site project can be daunting, but the team approached it with vigour, progressing to more than 80 sites so far.

Going one step further, IoT energy has extended this inspirational project into energy-saving retrofits and controls for ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and cooking equipment too.

Fast-food restaurants are superb examples of energy-saving gold mines. With high energy consumption and wasteful processes, this is a key industry for partners to target and make a massive difference like IoT Energy has. Congratulations to Tomasz Kwiatkowski and his team for their forward-thinking work with one of the world’s largest QSR brands!

Most Innovative Project of the Year - EcoSolve Energy

Most innovative project winner EcoSolve Energy

The Most Innovative Project of the Year goes to a partner project that demonstrates new and exciting ways of working and overcoming barriers - EcoSolve Energy has done just that!

CEO, Andreas Boller, took home the award for his extensive and exciting work around heat monitoring at a ski resort. Andreas has created an advanced methodology and platform for measuring and managing thermal energy, which has led to some great savings opportunities around how and when the ski resort heats critical elements, like their swimming pool.

Skiing isn’t one of the usual suspects in terms of clients interested in energy efficiency. But EcoSolve Energy took on the challenge of finding energy savings for a Swiss ski resort, including the integration of heat data despite logistical difficulties. It’s amazing to see partners like EcoSolve Energy developing new and innovative solutions as part of the journey to energy efficiency. Kudos to Andreas!

Best Newcomer - Juan Manuel Uria from RecuSost

Best newcomer winner RecuSost

The Best Newcomer award is reserved for a partner that has enthusiastically launched their business in the last 12 months, going from strength to strength, and flourishing with a successful future ahead.

Congratulations to our winner, Juan Manuel Uria - CEO of RecuSost in Bolivia. Numerous partners join us throughout the year, but Juan has excelled since joining us as a Best.Energy partner in September 2022.

He’s had a fantastic first year in energy efficiency in Bolivia, which is a challenging market for an international business. This makes Juan and RecuSost’s achievements all the more remarkable.

Juan already has many client sites up and running with Eniscope, and he’s pulled together a thriving team who are delivering fantastic results every day. Well done to Juan on an incredible first year in business - we’re sure you have many more years of success ahead of you!

Energy Manager of the Year - Ivan Seka

Energy Managers are intrinsic in our work to monitor clients’ energy consumption, using high-quality data to implement energy efficiencies. In recognition of the importance of this role, we present the Energy Manager of the Year award.

As the first and only Energy Conscious Organisation (EnCO) Practitioner in Africa, Ivan Seka from Best.Energy Kenya scooped this year’s award. He’s a true behaviour change specialist with a talent for inspiring others to begin their energy-saving journey.

While leading a team that delivers an average of 17%+ energy savings on all active sites in their portfolio (more than 50% in some cases!), Ivan is also a pathfinder for the EnCO movement across the African continent. He helped the Movenpick Hotel to become the first business in Africa to achieve EnCO Registered Business status, thanks to Eniscope, and he’s a fantastic role model and an inspiration to us all. Well done Ivan!
